Market Info

We are a seasonal operation that has been growing fresh produce for over 4o years. Our operation started out in the wooden shed that sits on Hwy 98. When my dad first started the business, the corn was handpicked and the variety we grew was Silver Queen. Now we have evolved today into a market that sits next to the old wooden shed, the corn is picked by machine, and we have expanded into growing more than sweet corn. The summertime operation opens from Memorial Day weekend give or take a few days to the middle of July. The summer produce that we grow on our farm and pick fresh daily include tomatoes, okra, eggplant, squash, cucumbers, pink eye purple hull peas, creamer peas, speckled butterbeans, green butterbeans, silver king sweet corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, and a variety of peppers. We close for a few months while the farm is in full swing to catch up then open back up mid-October- until. This time of the year since all the high school kids are back in school, we are open only on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. We start out with pecans that are grown on our farm and slowly start picking collards, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, satsumas, and then strawberries (just dependent on the weather). We have a lot of fresh vegetables to offer, we pick everything fresh daily and one thing that sets us apart from others is that we are a family-owned business who has been doing this for many, many years and you can see in our fields where your produce is grown. We love getting to know our customers, some are like family to us.
